Has been an extreme cold, brisk west wind a very bright day. Taught school till 3:30 had 14 scholars then went up to Town meeting. John came down to Mr. Young’s, after one. I stayed and helped count the votes. then came over to Florida and rode down with Dave Tiffany.

I voted for W.R. Chapman for Supervisor Seward Kline T. clk  J.J. Sch—- Arres [?] Charles F. Miller Com of Highways Newton Van Derveer & William Baird for Auditors [?] W.H. Edwards for Com of Exeise

R. Winne was elected Supervisor by 18 maj.

All of the democrat ticket were elected except but Kline & 2 constables

Was very mild and pleasant this forenoon rained a little about noon and the west wind came up very brisk and has been a little snow in the air and is growing much colder, a fearful high wind towards night.

I was to Mr. David Tiffany’s this evening.

Has been an extreme pleasant day, has thawed a good deal. John & I came down to church, from there I walked down to Mr. Young’s.

Mr. Shipp [?] preached St. Matthew 8 Chap part of the 12 verse.  But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness.

Bill & I took the women down to John Codington’s & went to Fultonville. drove John’s mare & Bill’s colt.

John Edwards has been to mill and drawed a load of stone for Walter Cross.

Has been a very pleasant day, rather chilly. I attended the funeral of Mr. Van Wie at 10 o’clock A.M. at the house  Mr. Shipp [?] preached from Philippians Chap I verse 21 “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain

Mr. Van Wie was 78 years old.

I stayed to Fletcher’s while they were gone to the grave.

The weather turned colder during last night. Has been a bright pleasant day but a brisk west and quite  cold.

Went home tonight to attend the funeral of Mr. Van Wie to morrow I walked the most of the way up to Fultonville & road home on a load of feed with John.
